The Mason Lovette Band has been active in the North Carolina music scene dating back to 1999. MLB (Mason Lovette Band) was originally comprised of four Appalachian State University college kids. Lovette, Sudyk, Spence, and Teague. Not long after that MLB acquired another guitar player in Jimbo Kelly to fill out the five piece band. Many nights of practice, beer, more practice, and more beer led to MLB's first gig. It was a field party in Efland, NC on a homeade stage just about big enough to fit Spence's drums. The law came and broke the party up but we all stayed and continued to drink and jam unplugged. They played a gig for Mother's Against Drunk Driving (MADD) the very next morning. Throughout college, they continued to play at bars, frat/sorority parties, pig pickins, and festivals throughout North and South Carolina. They earned a reputation as a spectacular party band through their crowd pleasing entertainment. As it is with most bands, MLB has had great musicians come and go, however Lovette and Sudyk still remain to keep the shows and the music pure and honest. Now a six piece band, MLB provides a wider range and dynamic of music that creates lasting impressions on people at every show. Lovette, Sudyk, Bunk, Billy Joe, Jesse, and Falsetto will appeal to audiences from eighteen to eighty. Their raw energy and wide variety of songs will have you begging for more.
